Instructions
How to use Concrete Countertop Edge Form Tape to Make an Under-mount Sink Knockout
Step 1
- Shape the knockout with a sanding block to insure the edges are a true 90 degrees to the top and bottom.
- Failure to do this will leave bulges and ripples in the Concrete Countertop Edge Form Tape.
Step 2
- Place the knockout and Concrete Countertop Edge Form Tape on a flat surface and carefully wrap the knockout with the tape.
- Create flawless seams by overlapping the tape before slicing through the both layers of tape at the overlap with a sharp razor blade. Peel away the excess sections of tape and the form tape should fit perfectly together at the seam.
Step 3
- Adhere the sink knockout into the mold with a few dime-sized dabs of silicone.
- Seal all intersections of form surfaces with 100% silicone sealant using the Corner + Seam Shaping Tools
- Run a bead of silicone sealant around the top edge of the knockout to prevent concrete from leaking between the Glossy Edge Form Tape and the knockout.
