Concrete Countertop Demonstration with Jeff Girard

Hosted by Concrete Exchange, this two-day demonstration is designed for fabricators who want a deeper understanding of Integrity concrete countertop products and how they work together to produce strong, efficient, and beautiful concrete countertops.

Learn directly from Jeff Girard, founder of The Concrete Countertop Institute and creator of the Integrity product line. As a licensed civil engineer, educator, author, and one of the most influential figures in the concrete countertop industry, he has spent more than 20 years helping over 2,000 craftspeople develop the skills and confidence to create exceptional concrete work. 

Jeff's practical, science-based approach focuses on understanding the reasons behind the process, helping fabricators achieve more consistent and predictable results. During this demonstration, Jeff will show how Integrity PowerBlend, UltraFibers, and UltraFlow work together in real-world concrete countertop applications.

Joining Jeff is Mike Heidebrink of Concrete Exchange, former owner of Surface Concreteworks in Detroit and former instructor at the Cheng Concrete Academy. Mike has taught more than a thousand students how to create concrete countertops, sinks, furniture, fireplace surrounds, and architectural concrete elements. Mike will also lead a dedicated color module featuring CX SmartColor pigments.

Throughout the demonstration, attendees will watch two complete projects come to life:

• A direct-cast tabletop using Integrity PowerBlend with a flowable mix design
• A vanity top with an integral sink using integrity PowerBlend with sprayed and hand-packed techniques

Day One: Focuses on a product overview, mixing procedures, spraying, hand-packing, pouring, and placement using Integrity PowerBlend, Integrity UltraFibers, and Integrity UltraFlow.

Day Two: Covers demolding, product discussions, and sealing demonstrations using Ovation and Omega concrete countertop sealers.

This demonstration is intended for attendees who already have a basic understanding of concrete countertop fabrication and form construction. Form building, mold construction, polishing, and other foundational fabrication topics will not be covered.
